Why does my cursor move unexpectedly in the ITC?

Answer / Solution

Eliminating Cursor Movement in the ITC

Overview

On rare occasions, users of the ITC have noticed that their cursor may move or jump around in the document, usually to the very bottom.  After testing, it's believed that this is caused by the computer having a monitor with touchscreen capability.

Solution

  • From Control Panel, open Device Manager
  • Expand the 'Human Interface Devices' category and look for a device with the words 'touch screen' in its name.  In most cases, it will be 'HID-compliant touch screen'
  • Right-click on the device you located and pick Disable from the popup menu

If you are still experiencing issues with your cursor jumping to other locations in your document, please email support@infraware.com
