MT % FD Column Explained
Overview
The “MT % FD” column represents the percent of the MTs work over the past 30 days that was editing. For example, if the MT were to produce 20,000 lines over 30 days, and 10,000 lines were normal transcription work and 10,000 lines were editing work, then the small progress bar would be 50% full.
It is important for an MT who is transitioning to an editor to have a high percentage of his/her work be editing work. This will solidify the new habits he/she needs to form without reinforcing older ones specific to basic transcription. For this reason a progress bar which is fuller is always better. This column is useful for identifying potential problems – such as a trainee’s work being consistently split between editing and transcription. |
