Display Formatted / Unformatted Normals in the ITC

Overview

Normals are available for use in the InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) as both formatted and unformatted.  The context menu which displays the list of Normals lists both by default.  In User Settings under the Editor tab, allows the user to indicate that they would like to see formatted/unformatted/both entries in the Normals menu.  This would reduce the context menu length in half if a transcriptionist never uses one of the formats. 

• Default is to display both Formatted and Unformatted Normals.  The Formatted Normal is followed by the Unformatted Normal of the same name with "[unformatted]" after the name, as shown below:

Requirements

• This feature is only available in ITC version 7.1.3.1 or newer. 

Steps

• Log in to the ITC and go to User Settings (KB56) ⇒ Editor tab. 
• Scroll down to the Display in Normals List option and choose your preference from the drop-down menu.
  

Notes

• ITC version 7.1.3.1 or newer is required.
• Both Formatted and Unformatted versions of a normal are available in the Normals (F5) tab of the Function Panel independent of the setting referenced above.
