Allow Transcriptionist to Determine if a Job is Routed to QA
Summary
By default, whether or not a job goes to the QA workflow step is determined by the presence of QA Marks (KB155) on a job and/or by QA Workflow requirements (KB180). In addition, Admins may wish to give Transcriptionists the ability to decide whether or not a job should be routed to QA, regardless of the number of QA Marks or QA Workflow requirements.
When this option is turned on for an Account, the Transcriptionist will receive a prompt ahead of spellcheck on job completion in the ITC. Options include the following:
- Yes = The job will go to QA, irrespective of QA Marks or QA Worfklow requirements.
- No = The job will NOT go to QA, irrespective of QA Marks or QA Worfklow requirements.
- Use Existing Platform Settings = The job will follow standard workflow settings. This is the default.
Requirements
- Account Administrator login and password for the InfraWare Management Console (IMC).
- ITC Version 7.1.1.7 or later is required in order to observe this setting in the ITC. Earlier versions of the ITC will not observe this new setting.
Steps
Follow these steps to enable this option:
- Go to the Administration tab, Account sub-tab.
- Scroll down to the Transcription section.
- Check the option to Allow MT to Determine if a Job is Routed to QA.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Save.
Notes
- This will default to 'off' for all new and existing accounts.
- The audit trail will reflect the following for each circumstance:
- If the account is set to allow the MT to determine if a job goes to QA and the Transcriptionist chooses:
- Yes: The job goes to QA
- If there is no QA Mark or other QA Requirement the audit trail shows "Submitted to Quality Assurance"
- If there is a QA Mark the audit trail shows "QA Requested by MT"
- No: The job skips QA and goes to the next step in the workflow
- If there was no QA Mark and no QA Requirement there is no reference in the audit trail to QA.
- If there is a QA Mark or other QA Requirement in place the audit trail shows "MT Skipped QA"
- Use Existing Platform Setting:
- If the job goes to QA and there is a QA Mark the audit trail shows "QA Requested by MT"
- If the job goes to QA and there is a QA Workflow rule in place the audit trail shows "Submitted to Quality Assurance"
- If the job does not go to QA (there is no QA Mark or other QA requirement) the audit trail shows no reference to QA.
- If the account is not set to allow the Transcriptionist to determine if a job goes to QA:
- If there is a QA Mark on the job it goes to QA and the audit trail shows "QA Requested by MT"
- If there is no QA Mark on the job, but there is a QA requirement in place, the job goes to QA and the audit trail shows "Submitted to Quality assurance".
- If there is no QA mark or QA requirement the job does not go to QA and there is no reference to QA in the audit trail.
