Configuring Proxy Settings for using InfraWare

Overview

The InfraWare clients (IDC and ITC) include limited support for connecting to the InfraWare Processing Center servers from networks which use proxy servers.

Solution

Note: In most cases, the preferred method of communication is direct and it is recommended to ask the administrator of the customer network to exempt traffic to the infraware.com domain from proxy or caching servers.

When proxy servers must be used, configure the IDC or ITC by clicking the Administration button on the login screen.  On the Proxy tab, set the hostname (or IP address) and the method of authentication and then save the settings.
