Dictating using InfraWare Dictation for Android
Summary
Performing dictations on the InfraWare Dictation for Android application is quick and easy. There are two ways of performing dictations:
- Free-form Dictation: Manually enter any of the pertinent details about the dictation before submitting. This article will cover the details of creating a "free form" dictation.
- Dictate using the dictation schedule: Details of the dictation are pre-populated on the InfraWare Mobile platform.

Steps
- Login: Select the InfraWare Dictation app on your device and log in with your credentials
- NOTE: If the Author is associated with more than one Facility, they will need to select the appropriate Facility after logging in

Dictate: Tap this button at the bottom right of the screen to go to the Dictate screen.

A sound meter will show if audio is being detected by your device's microphone.

Tap the blue Stop button when you are done dictating.
At this point you can play recorded audio, record additional audio or add job details before saving or submitting.

Play: Play the audio that has been recorded and use the rewind, play and fast-forward buttons that are shown.

Search the platform for a patient record by typing the name and then tapping Search.

Select Patient from the list of search results by tapping on the patient name.

Once you find the desired patient record, tap the Use This Person button at the bottom of the details screen. This will take you back to the Job Properties screen with the patient name and MRN completed for you.
