First Draft and Duplicate (Split) Jobs
Overview
Sometimes a dictation (audio/video file) will contain multiple reports. When this occurs the Duplicate Job feature can be used to split the jobs. See KB193 for details on this feature. This article explains how this workflow feature affects a First Draft job.
Summary
There are a few things to keep in mind when a First Draft job is duplicated.
- Counting Metrics: The original job remains a First Draft job, but the subsequent jobs created as a result of duplicating the original job will be regular counted as regular Transcription jobs with a regular template and no First Draft present.
- Grading: Jobs which are duplicated (split due to multiple dictations in one audio file) are not considered for grading.
- Reporting: In the IMC, First Draft reporting parameters include an option to exclude split jobs from report results. By default this option is checked.
