Allow a Transcriptionist to Edit Account Normals in ITC

Overview

InfraWare Transcription Client (ITC) allows users to manage Normals (Generation 6 ITC or later is required).  Users with permission can manage Account Normals in the ITC.  This article details how to set the permission for a user to manage Account Normals in the ITC. Without this permission users will only be able to manage MT Normals in the ITC. 

Audience: Readers should have a fundamental understanding of Normals (KB78), and know the difference between Account Normals (KB689) and MT Normals (KB695).

Note:  Generation 6 ITC or later is required to manage Normals in the ITC.  See KB696 for details on how to manage Normals in the ITC.

Before You Begin

You will need the following before you begin:

• An Administrator login ID and password for the IMC
• An MT already created in the IMC

Tasks

• Log in to the IMC at www.InfraWare.com/IMC.
• Click the Administration tab, and select the Users sub-tab.
• Click the link of the name of the Transcriptionist in the list for whom you would like to set this permission. This will bring up the User Settings page.
  
• Scroll down until you see the Account Roles section.  Immediately below this, click Transcriptionist Settings to open the Transcriptionists Settings page.
  
• In the Basic Settings section, check the box next to Allow MT to Edit Account Normals in ITC:
  
• Click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen.
