Can a transcriptionist (MT) manage their own masks?

Answer / Solution

Transcriptionist Managed Masks

Summary

With Administrator permission, an MT can manage their own masks.  There are two levels of permissions available:

  • Activate/Deactivate: This allows an MT to turn on and off Masks that were created by their Administrator.

  • Add/Delete: This allows an MT to actually define his or her own Masking criteria.

Requirements:

  • An Administrator login ID and password for the IMC
  • A Transcriptionist already created in the IMC

Tasks:

  • Select the Administration tab, and then the Users sub-tab.
  • You can filter Role by "Transcriptionist".

  • Locate the user to modify, and then click the pencil icon in the MT column for whom you would like to adjust permissions. This will bring up the Basic Settings page for that user.

  • Scroll down to the Transcriptionist Permissions Mask section.
  • Left click in cell next to option you wish to activate.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page, and then select "Save Changes".

  • Once these permission are set, the MT can manage their masks in the ITC.  See KB212 for details.
