What are Account level roles vs. Facility level roles?

Answer / Solution

Account/Facility Roles Explained

Overview

The InfraWare 360 platform is a roles-based system, and there are two fundamental categories of roles:

  • Account roles
  • Facility roles

As the names imply, Facility roles provide visibility and authority to take actions within the scope of a single facility but not beyond.  Accounts (commonly and MTSO) contain facilities and users with Account level roles can have visibility across many or even all Facilities.  Account level roles include:

  • Transcriptionist
  • Administrator
  • Manager
  • System Administrator

Note: More than one role can be assigned to a user, and each role implies specific authority.  For example, in order to use the ITC, a user must have the Transcriptionist role.  In order to create users and perform many other tasks, a user must have the Administrator role.  Those two examples also each require an associated license for the ITC and IMC respectively.
