How to Give an Author Multiple Facility Roles

Overview

An author who is associated with multiple facilities may access all of them in the Secure Web Portal with a single username and password. Author settings are separate for each facility to allow automatic identification and routing.

Tasks

After creating an author as a user in InfraWare 360, Admins may assign the author "Roles with Facilities" by Selecting the first facility from the drop-down list and checking the box under "Author". Select "Add Role". The screen will refresh with "Author Settings" beside the newly checked box. Select and customize Author Settings according to instructions provided in KB226. 

To associate the same author with a second facility simply select that facility from the drop-down list beneath the first facility name under "Roles with Facilities" and check the Author box. Again, the screen will refresh with "Author Settings" beside the newly checked box. Select and customize "Author Settings" for this facility for this author. Note that the TDS ID, default Document Type, etc will be different.

Manage permissions, pools, and other roles as needed. Save User to commit the settings to the platform.
