Template Setup for Chart Notes Printed on Sticky Paper

Summary

Many physicians' offices dictate multiple patients' chart notes on one audio to be printed on Adhesive or "sticky" paper. This allows the office to print all of the notes as one document and cut out each chart note to stick/paste into each patient's chart. The challenge with sticky paper is ensuring that each note will end up on one page (not part on one page and part on the following page) when the job is printed. The chart note template needs to be set up to accommodate for this.

Tasks:

Launch the InfraWare Template Editor and login using your Administrator username and password.

Enter the text and template fields needed to create your first note in the template
For each line in the template, use soft line breaks (shift + enter)

To see the soft line breaks and paragraph breaks turn on the paragraph display

Highlight the entire note
Click Format --> Paragraph
Select the Frame and Page Breaks tab
Under Pagination, place a checkmark next to "Keep lines together"
Click OK

After creating the first note, highlight, copy and paste the note multiple times on the first page based on the number of notes the physician normally dictates. This will preserve the formatting of each note.
In addition, during Transcription, the MT should copy the blank note if they have more chart notes to transcribe.
Also during Transcription, when typing in the middle of the note, the entire note will move to the next page if it will not fit on the previous page.
