How can I prevent MTs from searching for jobs?

Answer / Solution

How do I Disable an MT from Manually Searching for a Job in ITC?

Overview
InfraWare 360 Platform allows Administrators to disable the ITC search feature for an MT to prevent “cherry picking”.  With this feature disabled, the MT can only receive a job through automatic routing via MT access permissions or Masking. Please note: The MT will still be able to search for completed jobs and search for jobs assigned specifically to them.

You will need the following before you begin:
  • An Administrator login ID and password for the IMC.
Tasks:
  • Log in to the IMC at www.InfraWare.com/IMC
  • On the Administrator tab, choose the Users sub-tab.
  • At Filter by: Choose Transcriptionist from the drop-down menu.
  • Click on the pencil to the right of the MT you would like to edit.
  • Under Basic Settings: Put a checkmark next to “Disable Searching in ITC.”
  • Scroll down and click Save All to save your changes.

Notes

  • Disabling this option means the Transcriptionist could not go in and manually search for jobs on the Job Search screen.  They would still receive jobs according to Transcriptionist Access Rights (KB814) when they said their status in the ITC as "Transcribing and ready for new jobs..." as explained in KB624.
