How do I enter dates on the ADT Screen?

Overview

On the ADT Screen in the ITC, MTs can enter dates related to patient demographics such as date-of-birth and date-of-service. 

Solution

• There is a nice visual calendar selector next to each one of these entries which sometimes leads MTs to think they need to use the mouse to enter the date.  The entry is actually much more flexible as described below:
  

  • To move to a date field, it is convenient to tab to it like any other field.
  • Once on a date field, press the spacebar or Ctrl + D to activate it by checking the box. 
  • Once activated, the keyboard left/right arrow keys can be used to navigate to each portion of the date (month/day/year).  Those can be changed by either using up/dn arrow keys or by typing the desired value on the number pad of the keyboard.
