How to downgrade to a previous build of the ITC/ITE/IDC

Overview

InfraWare releases routine updates to our client applications including the ITC, ITE and IDC.  Best efforts are used to ensure an update won't introduce a problem, but that is always a possibility.  This article describes how you can roll-back to the most recent prior build of a client program if an update is not performing as desired.

Solution

1. Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.

2. Scroll down to InfraWare Transcription Client (or InfraWare Dictation Client) and click to put this program in focus.

3. Click Uninstall/Change (older versions of Windows say "Remove").

4. Select the option to "Restore the application to its previous state".

When complete, the ITC, ITE or IDC will be at the state prior to the last update.
